Anything Else?

My Story:

The reason I love marketing is the same reason why people watching is my favorite airport hobby. It's always fun to figure out where a flight is headed by observing the people climbing on-board. Black on black everything - NYC. Jacket during summer - SF. One crushed velvet leopard print jacket too many - LA.

I first had the opportunity to begin my love affair with marketing five years ago here at TracyLocke and recently returned home to TL Dallas after living and working in Los Angeles for the past 4 years where I was dedicated to the Apple account at TBWA\Chiat\Day. It was a great experience and was able to pick up a thing or two, but let's just say I was relieved to see a few cowboy hats boarding my flight home.

    Ten mobile site best practices

Is your client's mobile site convenient for customers?

    ---

Just because you can see your website on a smartphone doesn’t mean that it’s mobile-friendly!

Think about what your customers are experiencing when they view your site on their mobile devices. Can they easily read what’s on the screen without pinching and zooming? Do you have lots of links, which are hard to click, instead of buttons which make it easier to click the right thing?

Answers to questions like these can help determine if the people visiting your website can easily complete their desired task on the site, such as purchasing something or contacting you. Read on to learn more about how you can make your site mobile-ready.

    It all adds up

Are all the status updates, tweets, and meta data flying around out there completely arbitrary and meaningless? Maybe not..

Put the collective data together and it reveals the broader mindsets and behaviors of society, or even geo-political events in the making..

This piece in the Economist touches on how "Internet Forecasting" is being used in our neck of the woods: http://www.economist.com/node/18750604?frsc=dg%7Ca
